About Carla

Carla Sosenko is a journalist and author whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Time Out New York (where she was editor in chief), Entertainment Weekly
(where she was executive editor), Cosmo, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire and other publications. She has been a full-time
staffer at Life & Style (copy chief and managing editor), In Touch (managing editor) and Us Weekly (deputy editor). Carla graduated from Boston University with a BA in English and a BS in Journalism, both magna cum laude. She has an MFA in creative writing from Emerson College.

Carla’s first play, Headcase (dir: Amy Loe), was produced in the 2001 New York International Fringe Festival; her short play Neighborly had its first reading at The Brick theater in summer 2021. Carla co-wrote TikTok star Melissa Dilkes Pateras’ first book (The Dial Press, November 2023), A Dirty Guide to a Clean Home: Housekeeping Hacks You Can’t Live Without. Carla’s memoir, Such
