The doctor in Boston got it right on KT. When we go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester we see a team of doctors. Lymphatic, onocological, possible misspell, orthapedic and plastic surgeon. There is no cure, but the Mayo Clinic has given us hope and increased my daughter’s quality of life.

KTS appears so varied, it was difficult for doctors to diagnose originally. My case seems different than yours; mine is down my left leg, which is slightly bigger than my right (with all the spinal incorrectness therein), and it is speckled with visible varicose veins and clumps. Mine is constantly pained and sore, as my muscles are battling for space and losing more often than not, but I have otherwise been very lucky that it has stayed solely on my left leg, with some splotches on my back. I had an exploratory laser procedure done on my foot when I was 17 (in the winter of 95), which removed the varicosities there, but in time they grew back all the same. All the while, I have never had a “specialist” for my disorder. Just various doctors all hoping to help.

i’ve never been able to go to the Mayo Clinic but i will hope that 1 day i get to go. and attend some of the functions with the KT support group.

Kidish, i also have KT in my left leg. i honestly could not tell you how many surgeries have been done but that’s because like you, it is painful and sore so they have me on painkillers to help deal with it. and over time, you begin to lose parts of your memory. and just like you, i’ve never really dealt with 1 specialist, it’s always been a doctor of some sort.

persistent sexual arousal ? say what ! and how exactly are hiccups baffling ??
