This Friday, I’m headed to scenic Rochester, Minn., to read my essay, “What the Guys I Date Don’t Know,” originally published in Marie Claire magazine and to participate in a panel discussion. I feel really honored to have been included, so if you find yourself near Rochester, come on by!
(Oh, and no, the Mall of America is nowhere near Rochester. I asked. That image right there is just wishful thinking on my part.)

Carla, I am so sorry we missed this. We live in NY about 30 minutes from Brooklyn. I would love to talk to you. My wonderful 13 year old has KTS and we could use a little life experience. Please LMK if you are open to contacting me via phone or email. Thanks, Denise
BTW, my friend just opened a restaurant in Brooklyn called Patricia’s–it is excellent!
I appreciated hearing you read your essay at the meeting. I’m 30 and newly single, and while I tell myself that I’m just as lovely as I was before I spent 5 years with my ex, I was so much more confident about my leg when I was younger! And I totally could have taken you up to the Mall of Evil (that’s what my social circle calls it).
